University Offices, The New School
“Since their construction, these floors have become the model for nearly all work spaces in the University.” Lia Gartner, VP of Design and Construction, The New School
Encouraging interaction and the exchange of ideas, the custom system of low walls brings daylight deep into the floors. The heart of this system is a group of four workstations sharing a generous common table and storage area.
Crisp, colorful overhead bins add a lively punctuation to the warm neutral color scheme. As the first project to build out large loft floors without using traditional systems furniture, the open office environment feels lively and takes advantage of the high ceilings and big windows.
